Riding the CapeFLYER with my Grandma

In her later years, my Grandma told me she wanted to ride a train at least one more time. We also wanted to bring her down to our house in Yarmouth for a weekend. In July 2023, my dad dropped both of us off at Middleboro/Lakeville to catch the CapeFLYER to Hyannis. I documented the trip from inside the train as he took chase, catching the train at Yarmouth Junction and again arriving at Hyannis.

What none of us knew at the time was this would be her last train ride. I had hoped to bring her down to the Valley Railroad to ride a steam train like she remembered from growing up, but it was not to be. Retrospectively, I am grateful for this very special Railfanning Adventure, because this video is some of the only video we have of her. She absolutely enjoyed riding the train with me.
